It’s often said this is “the most wonderful time of the year.” Holiday gatherings with family and friends, planning for a new year, cooler temps – I tend to agree.
In this final issue of 2023, we bring you some wonderful things. First and foremost, the winners of our annual Readers’ Choice awards! So many of our winners are small businesses in Fort Bend, and as we are out and about shopping this holiday season, please remember to support them. As my friend and colleague Bev Carter used to say, “Let’s keep those cash registers ringing!”

Merry Christmas to all of our Fort Bend friends, and my wish for you is that you get to spend time with family and friends enjoying all that the holidays bring. As Buddy said in our family’s favorite holiday movie, Elf, “I planned out our whole day. First, we make snow angels for two hours, and then we’ll go ice skating, and then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookie Dough as fast as we can, and then to finish, we’ll snuggle.”
