WWII Winter Encampment

Sixth Annual Hope For Three Autism Advocates
Felicia Smith Jigsaw Puzzle Competition

Register now for the Sixth Annual Hope For Three Autism Advocates Felicia Smith Jigsaw Puzzle Competition presented by LearningRx Sugar Land.  This exciting event takes place at the historic Landmark Community Center in Missouri City.  Teams of four, young (ages eight and up) and seasoned, have two hours to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle.  Awards ceremony immediately follows with first through fifth places recognized. Bragging rights are guaranteed! Registration at 9 am, competition 10 am-12 pm.  The event is one-way the local nonprofit group raises awareness and funds for families and children living with autism. January is national soup month and this cold weather came just in time! Brookdale Sugar Land is looking for Soup Entries and Soup Tasters to come to the community for a fun event and to help raise money for Adult Protective Services at the same time. Limited spots available for soup entries. For Soup Tasters, tickets are for $1 per ticket or 15 tickets for $10. Drop your tickets at the soups you enjoy the most. Supply Chain Disrupted

The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Infrastructure Planning Division will host an informative event titled “Supply Chain Disrupted” with University of Houston’s Margaret A. Kidd. She will discuss current statistics and impact, preparing for “just in time” or “just in case,” lessons from COVID-19, how to limit vulnerabilities, and are there economic development opportunities? Fort Bend ISD to host “Fall in Love” Hiring Event

Blood Drive

The Blood Center needs 1,000 pints of blood to be donated every day to meet the current need. Every two seconds someone needs a blood transfusion.
