The 2019 Holiday Shopping Card Now Available For Purchase Online, Offering 20% Discount At 550+ Participating Greater Houston Retailers

Shop, Save Money, Save Lives through the purchase of The Holiday Shopping Card, October 24th – November 3rd, 2019. With the purchase of The Card for $75, shoppers receive a 20 percent discount at more than 550 participating retailers throughout the Greater Houston Area or free eats at participating restaurants. One hundred percent of The Card purchase benefits the American Cancer Society.

Event co-chairs Jennifer Friedmann, Karen Peltz and Leslie Rogers are excited about this year’s campaign, including numerous new retailers and restaurants. “We are asking for your support in raising $1M to help those fighting cancer,” said Friedmann. “Your purchase of The Card will provide much needed services such as free wigs for patients in treatment, transportation to and from treatment and research.”

The 2019 Holiday Shopping Card honors the McNair family. Janice McNair and her late husband, Bob, co-chaired the American Cancer Society’s $30 million capital campaign for Hope Lodge Houston, which opens in the Spring of 2020. Through their service, the McNairs joined forces with the American Cancer Society in their commitment to save lives and relieve suffering by providing no-cost lodging and support for patients traveling to the world-renowned Texas Medical Center for cancer treatment. And, you too can join in the fight against cancer by underwriting a personalized paving stone to be permanently installed in the Hope Lodge Healing Garden.

Over the past 22 years, the women of VICTORY have raised $16.5 million through the sale of The Holiday Shopping Card to help the fight against cancer. In the past year, over 6,500 cancer patients have received services through American Cancer Society’s local programs and services.
