Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation “Platinum Jubilee” Gala Set for January 19th

Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation (SLCAF), Momentum Luxury Motors and Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land are pleased to invite art lovers of Fort Bend County to the 2019 Platinum Jubilee on January 19th at Safari Texas. This year’s theme will celebrate the 20tth anniversary of Sugar Land Cultural Arts. The Platinum Jubilee will honor Ann Smith for her 20-year commitment to the arts and SLCAF and her many years of service to Fort Bend County.

This year’s entertainment is presented by Music Box Theatre, touted as the “Best Cabaret Theatre in Houston” by the Houston Press. Their special presentation will highlight community members with a delightful tale of Fort Bend County and the folks who live, work and play here. The evening is sure to be funny and familiar!

An Astros’ World Series replica ring will be featured in the live auction.

A live auction will also add excitement to the evening’s festivities. Some auction highlights include a week-long ski vacation in Sun Valley, Idaho; a Houston Astros’ package with field level tickets and World Series memorabilia including a World Series replica ring; eight premium tickets to Smart Financial Centre presents Dancing With the Stars: Live! including dinner; a Mexican Fiesta for 50 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science Sugar Land hosted by Sugar Land Mayor Joe and Nancy Zimmerman; and dinner for eight at the George Ranch hosted by Congressman Pete and Nancy Olson.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the mission and goals of the SLCAF, which include continued improvements to the Sugar Land Auditorium, the city’s oldest public space, and the continued support of the arts in Sugar Land.
