Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship Celebrates a Monumental 10th Anniversary Derby Day Party with Committed Supporters and Fundraising Success

Reining Strength, commemorated a decade of service with its highly anticipated 10th Anniversary Derby Day Party on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The milestone event, held at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria, witnessed an incredible turnout of over 500 enthusiastic supporters, marking a resounding celebration of community spirit and philanthropy. 

Since its inception, Reining Strength has remained steadfast in its commitment to provide equine-assisted services striving to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adults ages two and up with social, cognitive, and emotional needs. The 10th Anniversary Derby Day Party served, not only as a momentous occasion for reflection and gratitude, but also as a testament to the unwavering support of the community.

The event, renowned for its festive Kentucky Derby theme and lively crowd, showcased an array of activities that captivated attendees. From a walk down Reining Strength’s Memory Lane, a competitive men’s boots and bow ties and ladies hat contest, traditional derby-inspired games, to a live streaming of the Kentucky Derby Race.

However, the true highlight of the evening was the staggering success in fundraising efforts. Through the collective generosity of attendees, sponsors and donors, over $360,000 was raised, surpassing all expectations. This monumental achievement underscores the profound impact of collective action in advancing the mission and vision of Reining Strength.
