OakBend Medical Center is excited to announce that the 2019 Patchwork of Life scheduled for Thursday, October 10th at Safari Texas Ranch. The event will begin at 6 pm with the program starting at 7:30 pm.

This year’s event will benefit OakBend’s Women’s Imaging Department. Funds raised from the event will be used to purchase a 3D mammography machine, bringing the gold standard for breast cancer detection to OakBend. This technology will enable doctors to identify and treat breast cancer at earlier stages and with greater accuracy than traditional mammography.

The live auction features an array of items, such a condo for week in Portland, Oregon donated by Dr. and Mrs. Ed Uthman; a priceless homemade piece of furniture by Alan Macik of Rustic Kuts Furniture; a monthly flower arrangement for a year donated by Lucas Chavez of LC Floral and the OakBend Medical Group and a wine and cheese gathering donated by Dr. and Mrs. Ivan Mefford. Several more items will be available to bid on during the event’s silent auction.

Additionally, there will be a presentation of the Jeff Council Award for Dedicated Service to OakBend Medical Center. The recipient of this award exhibits excellence in three categories: years of service to the hospital, philanthropy support and leadership to OakBend.
