May 2nd, 5 – 7 pm

Spring Fling for Kids with Autism

NFL Chicago Bears’ defensive lineman Angelo Blackson hosts the 1st Annual Spring Fling for Kids with Autism. The former Houston Texans’ player teams up with local nonprofit Hope For Three Autism Advocates for the inaugural event. Children can toss the football with the local celebrities and receive autographs. More activities include soccer drills and skills, kite flying and balloon art. James Coney Island and Kona Ice trucks will be on site. Event will be held at Sawmill Lake Club in Sienna, located at 10323 Mount Logan in Missouri City. Sports Physicals

Houston Methodist will be providing student physicals for all school activities that require one for the 2021-22 school year. The cost is $20, and only cash will be accepted.  Visit one of the following locations:

May 5th, 5 – 8 pm: Hopson Fieldhouse
Located at 3335 Hurricane Lane in Missouri City.

May 12th, 3 – 6 pm: Travis High School
Located at 11111 Harlem Rd. in Richmond.

May 13th, 3 – 5:30 pm: Marshall High School
Located at 1220 Buffalo Run in Missouri City.

Sugar Creek Backyard Garden Tour

Celebrate spring and visit seven Sugar Creek backyard gardens in Sugar Land for only $20. Tickets are available at the Guard House at the Sugar Creek Blvd. subdivision entrance on the day of event or at individual homes. Guests are invited to enjoy self-guided tours. Proceeds help fund community beautification projects, a community produce garden and two Texas A&M scholarships for horticulture graduate students.

Shadow Play for Deaf Community

Enjoy a performance on this special evening with hearing and deaf audiences. Fort Bend Christian Academy is excited to bring to the community a play like no other, The Taste of Sunrise, by Suzan Zeder. The event is free and will be held at Sugar Land Town Center, located at 15958 City Walk in Sugar Land.
