I honestly can’t remember the last time I was ever more ready for spring that I am this year. From floods to hurricanes to ice and snow, the wicked weather over the past few months has simply tried my patience. I am ready for mild days and breezy, starry nights!
Of course, with spring comes the urge to clean and renovate – and I’m already there! Our Home Is Where the Heart Is feature showcases some amazing resources to help you get your home back after Harvey or simply give you some amazing ideas and trends to spruce up your surroundings.
Something that surrounds us in Fort Bend is amazing, state-of-the-art medical care. In this issue, we celebrate Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital as they reach a huge milestone: their 20th anniversary. From their humble beginnings as a 22 bed hospital with 160 employees, today Houston Methodist Sugar Land leads the way in excellence in medicine. In 2018, the hospital is the second-largest private employer in Fort Bend with more than 2,220 employees and 1,000 physicians representing more than 40 specialties and sub-specialties. Congratulations Houston Methodist Sugar Land, and happy birthday!
The Sugar Land Food and Wine Affair is also celebrating a milestone this year – 15 years of showcasing great food and wine in Sugar Land! absolutely! focus media is proud to support this affair, and we hope to see you at one of the fantastic events during the five-day feast!
Speaking of events, many of us will be enjoying a rite of passage this month: Spring Break.
