Loggins Jewelers Angels for Alzheimer’s Scholarship Fund

In addition to being a full-service jeweler that promises to “find anything, design anything and fix anything,” Loggins Jewelers is also an enthusiastic advocate for supporting research of Alzheimer’s. The first year for the store’s Angels for Alzheimer’s Scholarship fund – awarded to five students in Fort Bend – is only the beginning of Loggins’ efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

“Many of our customer families, as well as our own, have been deeply affected by the ravages of Alzheimer’s and other related dementia diseases,” said Susan DeBakey. “To honor them, Loggins Jewelers is proud to offer scholarship money to Fort Bend high school seniors interested in pursuing future medical research and/or treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia.”

DeBakey also wants to expand the scholarship fund to include corporate and individual donations this year.  “One of best parts of being a family-owned local business is the great privilege to be proactive in our community,” she said. “We look forward to working with others who are passionate about finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.”
