Fort Bend County Libraries’ Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library will present a performance by Houston Grand Opera’s “Opera to Go!” of the children’s opera The
Elixir of Love
on Monday, March 11th, beginning at 2 pm, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

The performance will be repeated at the First Colony Branch Library on Wednesday, March 13th, beginning at 2 pm, located at 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land.

This family-friendly performance, sung in English, is a new adaptation of the popular comic opera. A small-town boy discovers that no potion from a quack doctor could impress his sweetheart more than a hearty dose of self-confidence. This high-energy opera is recommended for children in grades two through eight.

The program is presented with the generous support of the Friends of the Library. Proceeds from the Friends of the Library book sales and annual membership dues help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at the library.

Seating is limited at both locations. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library at 281-633-4675 or the First Colony Branch Library at 281-238-2800.
