It’s finally arrived – summer! The beginning of the summer brought many milestones and celebrations for our family with multiple graduations, Kassidi’s acceptance to graduate school and the successful completion of Kolton’s first year at college. So now that June is here, this momma is hoping for a reprieve from a very hectic schedule!

Speaking of a hectic time in life, in this issue we showcase 12 gorgeous brides from Fort Bend. Their weddings are featured, along with a wonderful story on how honeymoon travel has evolved, including an opportunity to win a free honeymoon on page 37 from Alisa Murray Travel. And of course, our cover bride is stunning! Congratulations to all of these newlyweds!

Congratulations are also in order for our Fort Bend graduates. We share the vals and sals from Fort Bend high schools on page 48. The future looks bright for these amazing graduates!

As parents, we all strive to provide our children with opportunities so that they will succeed in the future. This month, we celebrate one of the most important contributions to our children: dads. We talked with four Fort Bend dads in various stages of fatherhood – from young fathers to great grandfathers – and they shared their words of wisdom about raising children.

Billy Graham said, “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.” I couldn’t agree more. Happy Father’s Day to all of our Fort Bend dads. We appreciate you!

Stay focused!
