Sugar Land Heritage Hike

This historic walking tour recaptures the time when Sugar Land was a company town, with all enterprises managed by the Imperial Sugar Company or its affiliate, Sugarland Industries. The tour takes approximately one and a half hours.  All proceeds benefit the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit public organization dedicated to preserving and perpetuating Sugar Land’s Heritage. The price of admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 – 18.  Children under the age of 12 are free. Sugar Land Heritage Museum and Visitor Center is located at 198 Kempner Building B, 2nd Floor in Sugar Land. For more details, visit www.slheritage.org.

First Colony Branch Library Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Children’s Theater Performance of Goldilocks Celebrate with First Colony Branch Library with a family-friendly performance of the classic children’s tale Goldilocks.  This story is about a girl who takes a walk in the woods and soon becomes interested in a house owned by a family of bears. Sugar Land Superstar Round 1

Sugar Land Superstar is back for its 13th summer. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy Sugar Land’s American Idol-like competition. A highly talented group of singers will perform and five will be named finalists for the August final competition. Plus, enjoy a performance by a previous Superstar contestant who will kick off the music at 7:30 pm. Bingo Night

The Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department hosts bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+.  Visit with your peers, enjoy dinner and play rounds of bingo for great prizes.  Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door.  Dinner will be from 5:30 – 6 pm. Summer Family “Campout”

Enjoy a fun family-friendly event for all ages.  Explore Nature and Eclectic Outdoors (NEO)’s interactive campsite with tents, games, s’mores and even a lawn fishing tournament.

about native Texas fish or learn the right way to wear a life vest while checking out NEO’s kayaks and hybrid paddle boards.
