January 2020 – Exclamation Points!

New Beginnings

While I always embrace and look forward to a new year, it does give me pause that we are now into a new decade. As a young girl, I remember watching futuristic movies and reading novels about life in 2020. The year seemed so far away, and now, here we are with cars that drive themselves, medical advances we never dreamed of and a generation that has never been without a cell phone. Change, as they say, is good, and I tend to agree.

Speaking of change, if there’s something you would like to change about yourself, Dr. Eric Humble and his team at Sugar Land Face & Body Plastic Surgery and Houston Dermatology Plastic Surgery are your go tos for the new year. With advanced medical, surgical and aesthetic services, Dr. Humble’s practices offer the latest and greatest in advanced technology all while caring for the patient in a personal and caring manner.

Care – and overwhelming support – is certainly what we felt at Fort Bend Focus when we celebrated our 15th Birthday Bash. Thank you to all of our readers, advertisers, sponsors, family and friends who joined us for an amazing evening. And take a look at the fun on page 16.

With this milestone birthday behind us, I personally don’t see 2019 as an end of an era, or rather, a decade; I see it as a new beginning. T.S. Eliot’s words resonate with me as I embrace 2020.

Congratulations David Pasion Belleza for graduating with a
Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology, Minor in Embedded Systems Integration from Texas A & M University.

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language

And next year’s words await another voice.

And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

~ T.S. Eliot

I wish you peace, love and prosperity in your new beginning as we embrace 2020 together. Happy New Year Fort Bend friends!

Stay focused!
