Fort Bend Hope is proud to announce it is a recipient of a $2,000 grant from the Sugar Land Skeeters Baseball Foundation. The Skeeters Baseball Foundation promotes youth education and healthy activities for culturally, racially and economically diverse populations in Fort Bend County and surrounding areas.  This meshes perfectly with Fort Bend Hope’s mission to restore hope by empowering families through education.

Because of this generous grant, Fort Bend Hope has been able to purchase over 200 new books for children of all ages. The grant will also allow Fort Bend Hope to provide snacks for all of the children who come to its programs.  Fort Bend Hope currently operates a free learning center for children in grades 2 – 6 who are learning remotely.  It is also operating a free after-school mentoring and tutoring program for children in grades K – 6. Classes for adults include English as a Second Language (ESL) and citizenship along with a GED class and financial literacy class in Spanish after the first of the year.
