Fort Bend Education Foundation awards $769,574 to Fort Bend ISD!


For the 31st consecutive year, the Fort Bend Education Foundation has awarded grants to support Fort Bend ISD teachers and schools! During the annual Grant Awards program, held May 9 at Kempner High School, the Education Foundation presented Fort Bend ISD with a check for $769,574. That amount includes:

  • $546,129 to fund 271 grants through the Grants to Teachers and Schools program,
  • $21,651 for 300 New Teacher Gifts,
  • $65,000 to support Professional Development opportunities,
  • $121,294 in Pass-through Grants, and
  • $15,500 to support the Be a Bright Light for Homeless Students campaign.

Since its inception, the Education Foundation has awarded more than $36 million in grants to FBISD teachers and schools, providing opportunities to enrich and enhance the quality of education for all FBISD students.
