World Cancer Day Health Fair and Celebration
Join the American Cancer Society for a World Cancer Day Health Fair and Celebration! This event is family friendly, free to attend and will include a beautiful luminaria celebration. Auction Fun for the Whole Family
The Sugar Creek Garden Club invites the whole family to its annual Garden for Friendship Silent Auction and Luncheon at Sugar Creek Country Club, located at 420 Sugar Creek Blvd. in Sugar Land.  Auction baskets filled with home items for cooking, decorating, entertaining, stylish serving ware, Valentine and Easter décor, fancy teapots will be available plus jewelry, items of interest for the guys, and fun items for the kids.  A clown will entertain with face painting and balloon animals. Auction proceeds fund college scholarships for horticulture graduate students, books for local libraries and community beautification projects. 6th Annual Gumbo Smackdown

Gumbo Smackdown is the best way to spend a Saturday outdoors! Expect endless drinks, entertainment and lots of gumbo. Vote for your favorite gumbo and stick around to see who takes home the coveted People’s and Judges’ Choice trophies at the end of the day. This year’s event will benefit the Fort Bend Rainbow Room.  Tickets will include all food and drink. 23rd Annual Dad & Daughter Dance

This Hollywood-themed evening will make your daughter feel like a star! Dinner, dancing, confetti and more will create an evening to remember. The event will be held at the Community Center, located at 1522 in Missouri City. Fort Bend PAWS Kick-Off and Raffle
Join Fort Bend PAWS as they kick-off 2019 and celebrate Valentine’s Day with a raffle of a 1978, 25th-year-anniversary edition red Corvette. Fort Bend PAWS is selling 300 raffle tickets for $100.  The drawing and reception will be held at Safari Texas Ranch, located at 11627 FM 1464 Road in Richmond. Greater Houston Train Show

The San Jacinto Model Railroad Club will present the Greater Houston Train Show at the Stafford Centre. The show features 20,000 square feet of operating layouts, instructive classes, model and photo contests, train videos and vendors. The Stafford Centre is located at 10505 Cash Stafford Centre at Murphy Road. Fort Bend County Day

Join Fort Bend County Day!  Travel to Austin to meet with members of the state legislature and key state agencies. Embrace the opportunity to unite with informed and involved citizens in order to increase awareness about Fort Bend County as one of the fastest growing regions in the nation. The day will include a luncheon with elected officials from Fort Bend County, meetings with legislators, legislative staff and agency personnel,  and an evening reception with state legislators. MD Anderson Cancer Center Blood Drive
MD Anderson cancer patients require approximately 200 units of red blood cells and 600 units of platelets every day, which is why donors are the most important part of the process. Another Night Out

Parks Youth Ranch invites Fort Bend high school juniors and seniors to join the 4th annual Another Night Out (ANO). ANO is designed to increase awareness of the hardships and struggles faced by homeless youth in the area. Event participants will spend the night outside participating in games and activities and hearing from guest speakers as they learn and experience the challenges their not-so-fortunate homeless peers endure regularly. ANO is a chaperoned event and costs $20 per student. Junior FUNdamental Team Challenge

Join in on the fun with Team Challenge in a low-pressure learning environment. This is an introduction to tennis competition focusing on team play and challenging players’ skills.
