Explore Abilities Hour Celebrates Families with Special Learning Needs


The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center    A Very Special Project of the Children’s Museum of Houston –  will host an exclusive hour for families and children with special learning needs.

Explore Abilities Hour is an all-new event, which will give these families an opportunity to explore the Discovery Center at their own pace and time. Held every second tuesday in the summer on June 12th, July 10th and August 14th, the event will provide a comfortable, protected and accepting environment and give parents opportunities to make connections with other families.

Special care will be taken to provide a comfortable experience, including playing no music and providing sound-reducing headphones.

Activities include:

• Hope for Three: Enjoy valuable resources and interactive activities.

• Faithful Paws: Fuzzy, friendly and fluffy all over!  Therapy pets and dogs will bring a smile to museum guest.

• Blue Spring Pediatrics: Find the answers and connections you need to succeed.
