Don your favorite Western-chic attire, and enjoy an epic night of mouth-watering bites, bidding and boot scootin’ at “Drilling for a Cure,” the 2018 Cattle Barons Ball on Saturday, April 28th at the scenic George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond.

Benefiting the Houston-area American Cancer Society, the unforgettable evening will feature Las Vegas-style gaming and midway games; a wine pull with over 300 superb bottles of wine and champagne; a whiskey pull; a jewelry pull featuring Kendra Scott baubles and lively pig races as well as live, big board and silent auctions.  And, with the purchase of a raffle ticket, you have a chance to win a luxury Audi, BMW, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Mini Cooper and Volkswagen Tiguan compliments of Sonic Automotive.

Two-time Texas Female Vocalist of the Year Bri Bagwell plans to rope the crowd onto the dance floor.  And, country legend Trace Adkins will end the evening on the ultimate country high note performing such chart-topping hits Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, You’re Gonna Miss This and Ladies Love Country Boys.

2018 Cattle Baron’s Ball chairs Susan Ryan and Jerré Williams chose “Drilling for a Cure” as the theme for the 29th annual bash, not only because both of their husbands have worked in the oil and gas industry, but also because Houston is the energy capital of the U.S.  Further, the black and gold theme articulates their goal to “dream as big as Texas” to help the American Cancer Society save every cancer patient’s life.

“We are committed to continuing the quest to find a cure for cancer and helping the American Cancer Society raise funds for research, educational services and patient support programs,” said Ryan and Williams.  “So many Houstonians’ lives have been touched by cancer, and the Cattle Baron’s Ball is just one way we can help make a difference. Although, the event would not be a success without the generous support of our sponsors, including Star Furniture, Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann and The Wintermann Foundation.  So, a heartfelt thank you goes to all of our sponsors and volunteers.”
