“Destination Celebration” Spring Break Bash


Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center cruises into Spring Break with an all-inclusive voyage like no other March 12th to 19th

There’s a destination right around the corner that celebrates YOU! Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center – A Very Special Project of Children’s Museum Houston – is the ultimate family destination where there’s something new to do and celebrate every day of Spring Break. Get away and soak in the sun and fun during “Destination Celebration” Spring Break Bash!

 Set sail on a voyage of discovery where your itinerary is filled to the brim with exciting, non-stop adventures every day, all day long!

  • Let your imagination run wild with giant blue building blocks.
  • Let your hair down (or up!) with your own neon Mohawk crown.
  • Use a vortex cannon to knock down towers.
  • Channel Andy Warhol and bring home a new pop art masterpiece.
  • Design your own 80’s style shades in one of three throwback styles!

Embark on a daily escapade filled with thrills, hands-on activities, shows and interactive performances. Continue your journey partaking in activities all throughout the Museum. Then, watch performances with a lineup that changes every day. Come back daily as the party will cruise on a weeklong celebration!

DJ Dance Party
Saturday, March 12

Kick-start your getaway and whip your hair back and forth with the energizing beats of DJ Ernie.   Make your Spring Break experience a shareable moment with our 360-photo booth. A juggler will welcome your expedition and set the tone for an adventure like no other.


Π (Pi) Day
Open Monday, March 14

March 14 is π (Pi) Day and it’s also Albert Einstein’s birthday! Get tossed into the π (Pi) Day celebration and get ready for a fun-filled day of all things π (Pi) including pudding pies and circle art.

PJ Masks

Time to be a hero! Red, green or blue, we have the mask for you! Bring out your inner crimefighter to and keep pesky villains at bay. ‍ ‍ Strutting her super owl wings and his super-cat leap, catch Owlette and Catboy during a fan celebration of the hit TV Show, “PJ Masks.”

Spider-Verse Meet-and-Greet

Our spidey senses are tingling! Get tangled in a web of excitement as the Spider-Man multiverse collides during Destination Celebration. Swing into the Discovery Center to hang out with Miles Morales.


Tuesday, March 15
Mad About Hoops

Hula hooping is not only fun – it’s an art! Be blown away by this spectacular and colorful hula hoop performance and learn a few tricks from local hula hoop master, Amy Neel.


Wednesday, March 16
Juggler Noah

Bouncing and balancing and juggling, oh my! Circus performance artist, and prop balancer and manipulator, Noah is at the museum to show off his jaw-dropping juggling skills!


Thursday, March 17
Sizzling Science Demos

Our highly trained, science-crazed educators are demoing some of the best “don’t try this at home” experiments as we play with color explosions. You won’t want to miss this Instagram-worthy content!

Magician Jaime Salinas

Do you believe in magic? Witness the seemingly impossible as local magic extraordinaire, Jaime Salinas, brings outrageous tricks that deceive the eye and perplex the mind.

Storybook Opera – “Lula The Mighty Griot”

Houston Grand Opera is thrilled to bring you the Storybook Opera performance of “Lula the Mighty Griot” by Poet Laureate Deborah DEEP Mouton.  “Lula the Mighty Griot” is the moving story of Lula, the protector of her tribe, who keeps hungry alligators from eating all the food in her village.  Join us for a lively mix of picture books and singing storytellers!
