The Latest Trends

The fastest growing trend in injectables is the use of dermal fillers as both a spot treatment to effected areas but also as an overall face lift without the knife.  This long-lasting treatment is used on the face to precisely correct lines, folds and wrinkles on the sides of the nose as well as the mouth to fill in the cheeks where they tend to sag. Patients find that even after a year post treatment, they can still see a difference!

Kybella is an injection that permanently destroys fat cells in the chin area. This is administered as series of injections under the chin, with minimal down time. This procedure helps eliminate the “double chin” that can come from weight gain, aging or genetics that diet and exercise alone may not help.

Sculptra Aesthetic is another alternative injectable of poly-L-lactic acid given over three weeks that works below the skin. This procedure works within the body to revitalize collagen production, helping to restore deep within the skin’s inner structure. The Polylactic acid-based treatment stimulates collagen gradually over time for results that can last over two years.

Restoration Technology

Perhaps the most fantastic breakthrough thus far in “renewing and restoring” oneself is that of PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma.  This technology uses a patient’s own platelets, rich in growth factors, to enhance and “wake-up” areas of your body to restore it back to optimum health. The procedure is relatively easy.  Doctors draw blood and spin it to separate the platelets. This plasma is activated to release eight essential growth factors, such as Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), which plays a significant role in the regulation of cell growth, Transforming Growth Factor (TGF), which promotes angiogenesis such as new blood vessels and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), a signaling portion that indicates it’s time to grow new vessels.
