What is at Stake for Fort Bend in the November 3rd Election?

The answer to this question is simple: everything – for now, and most importantly, for Fort Bend’s future.  As citizens, as voters, we must be engaged in the November 3rd election.

Running a County IS a Business

As a business owner, I know first-hand that running our County is akin to running a business.  This November, we are electing the highest-ranking official in our County, the County Judge responsible for leading and presiding over Commissioner’s Court where critical decisions are made regarding public safety, infrastructure and the County budget.  This is running a business, one of significant size and importance for all Fort Bend residents.

With the population of Fort Bend nearing the one million mark, the County employes over 4,000 individuals.  Commissioner’s Court, led by the County Judge, is responsible for these employees and departments charged with running efficient, productive and accessible county services – services that we as residents rely on every day.  This is running a business.

Leading a County requires both business acumen and fiduciary experience, a skill set that has been non-existent in our former County Judge.  We can change that, with our vote, because running the business of the County needs to be led by a seasoned businessman, one I have personally known for many years.  That businessman is Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong.

Experienced, Successful Businessman and Community Leader

This election, we have the opportunity to elect a County Judge who has extensive business experience, creating and leading a highly successful engineering firm from the ground up – one that employs over 400 individuals across two states.  As an engineer, Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong has provided detailed plans for highways, bridges, energy infrastructure and flood control systems – projects that Fort Bend County deals with on a daily basis.

That’s the type of business experience we need to lead Fort Bend County – a professional businessman who has vast experience in the type of projects that will come across his desk as our Fort Bend County Judge.  Don’t we want the most qualified candidate for this position?

The alternative in this election simply doesn’t have the resume to compete or perform leading a business the size of Fort Bend County, because essentially, running the County IS running a business.  And, we as voters need to hire the most qualified candidate with our vote.  That’s good business – putting the best candidate at the helm of a crucial, complicated task.  And my friend and colleague Daniel Wong is the best candidate.

Does Your Vote Matter?

We make decisions in our lives, and the decision to vote – the right to vote – is of paramount importance in our society.  Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent, the question is not of party affiliation.  The question is: Who is the best candidate for the job?

In this election, the answer is Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong.  The experienced businessman and former Sugar Land City Councilman, who has the knowledge, expertise and leadership abilities to run Fort Bend County as it should be run as one of the largest growing and most diverse counties in the United States.  Fort Bend is a shining example of what a successful community should be, and our shine, with our previous County Judge, has been dulled by scandal, inefficiency and disgrace.

It’s time we take our community back to the best place to live, work, play, raise and educate our children.  It’s time we vote for experienced, qualified, ethical leadership.  It’s time we vote for Daniel Wong as Fort Bend County Judge, and I can personally attest that Daniel is the best man for the job.

When you go to the polls – and you do need to go and vote – remember County leadership matters in running the business of Fort Bend County, and the proven business leader qualified to be at the helm of our County is my friend and fellow businessman Fort Bend County Judge Daniel Wong.

Please vote, and please vote for the experienced business leader, the best man for the job, Judge Daniel Wong.
