Meet Isabella Golemi

Isabella Golemi

Students at Clements High School are presented with many options for education. In addition to highly qualified academic teachers, extracurricular activities are equally important. One senior who has excelled in every opportunity the school has to offer is Isabella Golemi.

Golemi has taken Advanced Placement classes throughout her high school career. She received the Academic Excellence award her sophomore and junior year. She also earned AP Scholar with Honor recognition. Golemi is a member of the yearbook staff, and she showed her school spirit by cheering with the JV cheerleading team her freshman and sophomore years. She also competes in leadership competitions, as well as Public Speaking events. Golemi was a member of the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) program her junior year and had the opportunity to mentor elementary school students at local schools.

Golemi’s forte is Future Farmers of America (FFA). “This is the organization that I am most involved in. I served as Sentinel junior year and currently serve as Vice President. Through FFA, I have shown 4 swine projects for the Fort Bend County Fair and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I also am a part of the Floriculture team that placed 5th in the state this past spring. I was recently selected to become a member of Junior Rodeo Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I will be volunteering my time with them this coming March. I was also a candidate for Fort Bend County Fair Queen and had such a great time getting to know the other candidates and developing networking skills. Through FFA, I have won Reserve Yorkshire Champion at the Fort Bend County Fair. I also have won the star chapter member this past year.”

Golemi’s favorite teacher is her Agricultural Science teacher Ms. Ashley Schauffler. “She is a role model to me and has helped me discover my strengths and weaknesses. She has inspired my passions, and without her, I do not think I would be succeeding today.”

Golemi’s leadership skills are admirable. “Being a leader in FFA is so fulfilling to me because I want to give back to this organization and make sure it succeeds far past my graduation date. As a younger member, the leaders at the time helped introduce me to the organization. This is my legacy, for the younger members to continue the tradition. A value I live by is the last line of the FFA motto ‘Living to Serve.’ I think it’s incredibly important to always be willing to serve others. Servant leaders always better help their followers succeed.”

One thing Golemi will always treasure are the memories she has made. “From football games to eating lunch with my closest friends, nothing will ever feel this way again. I’m so lucky to have been surrounded by so many amazing people that have taught me things about myself and the world.”

In addition to her school commitments, Golemi completed over 40 hours with Houston Food Bank and volunteered with the Richmond Assisted Living Center for Project NOEL at Christmas time. Other organizations she worked with include Lunches of Love, Common Threads and the Ronald McDonald House.

Golemi hopes to attend Texas A&M University to major in Animal Science. She plans to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine so she can help students with their livestock projects. She wants to give back to the organization that has given her so much.

Congratulations Isabella Golemi for your commitment to serving others. Good luck as we watch you make an impact in the world in your future.
