Martina McBride: The Joy of Christmas at Smart Financial Centre

Martina  McBride  is  a  multiple  Grammy^®  nominated  country  icon,  whose  incomparable  vocals  have  kept  her  at  the  top  of  the  charts  garnering  six  No.  1 hits and twenty top  10  singles.  Selling  more  than  18  million  albums  to  date,  McBride  has  earned  14  Gold,  nine  Platinum,  three  Double  Platinum  and  two  Triple  Platinum  certifications.  Most  recently  McBride  announced  It’s  The  Holiday  Season,  a  9-song  holiday  set  for  release  on  October  19th.  For  this  album,  McBride  collaborated  with  the  late  Patrick  “Pat” Williams  who  arranged  a  set  of  classic  Christmas  songs  with  accompaniment  from  more  than  35 world-class  musicians  at  the  famed  Capitol  Studio  in Los  Angeles  and  Blackbird  Studio  in  Nashville

“The Joy of Christmas is a magical show full of beautiful scenery and classic beloved Christmas music as well as a few hits from my career. It’s a show for the whole family,” McBride said in a press release. “With this tour, we create a sort of Christmas winter wonderland. If this show doesn’t leave you full of the Christmas spirit, I’m not sure what will!”

In addition to a new tour, this year McBride celebrates 25 years in country music. She credits her fans with her career’s longevity. “I think it comes down to the fans. If they hadn’t been interested, I wouldn’t have had a 25-year career,” she admitted. “I have great fans, and I think I was really lucky to find great songs and songs that made a difference in people’s lives. Songs like Independence Day, Concrete Angel and A Broken Wing and even This One’s for the Girls. When you create something that people take ownership in and bring into their lives and attach meaning to, that’s big.”

On  October  30th, Martina released  her  new  cookbook,  Martina’s  Kitchen  Mix:  My  Recipe  Playlist  for  Real  Life.  The  new  collection  includes  nearly  300  pages  of  family  recipes  and  new  creations  from  her  own  kitchen.
