The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) membership announced in September the launch of an annual recognition of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional’s Top 50 LPGA Teachers, presented in partnership with Women’s
Golf Journal
. This new initiative identified and recognized the best LPGA instructors from more than 1,700 LPGA certified professionals worldwide.

“The LPGA is excited to partner with Women’s Golf Journal on this annual recognition,” said LPGA Chief Teaching Officer Nancy Henderson. “More than 70 percent of our members teach the game of golf for a living, and they are dedicated to the advancement of golf through teaching golfers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game of golf.”

Fort Bend’s Deb Vangellow at Riverbend Country Club was recognized as one of the LPGA Top 50 Best Teachers.  LPGA Master Professional/PGA Honorary Director Vangellow is the Teaching Professional at Riverbend Country Club.  She is the 2012 LPGA National Teacher Of The Year, an LPGA and Golf Digest Woman “Top 50” Teacher, a Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine “Top Regional Teacher,” a US KIDS GOLF “Top 50 Kids Teacher,” a GRAA “Top Growth Of The Game Professional,” and she has been continually featured in the now retired Golf For Women Magazine as a “Top 50” teacher.
