Golf “Fore” Autism Hits the Fairways October 15th


Move over Fort Bend Golfers – there are several rookies in town aiming for bragging rights. Their golf handicap – “Extraordinary AUSOMENESS.” These ever so lovable linksman, who are on the autism spectrum, recently kicked off the Hope For Three Annual is Golf “Fore” Autism Campaign during a golf clinic with The First Tee of Greater Houston.

The Third Annual Golf “Fore” Autism, presented by Timewise Food Stores, is set for October 15th at Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land. Tee time is noon with a shotgun start.

Golf “Fore” Autism encompasses many activities with the goal of bringing awareness and raising funds for a disorder that affects one out of 45 school-age children. “This event is an opportunity for area corporations, organizations and supporters to fellowship, compete and enjoy an afternoon filled with activities, food and fun,” said Carl Foy, Hope For Three development director.

Participants will have the opportunity to swing for a “Hole in One” winning a brand-new 2018 Chevy Cruze from Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land or a luxury ride from Sterling McCall Lexus. Just in case your golf game is not on point, you can take a chance to earn gas for a year by purchasing a $20 ticket, a $2,600 value, compliments of Timewise.

The fun continues along the fairway as golfers will come upon three different vendors who have vowed to provide a mouth-watering cultural experience. For those of you who enjoy a good challenge, Judge Bob Hebert is back with his challenge to all city mayors, officials and representatives to take his/her best shot in support of area autism families.
