STEAM Fest is focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) activities and will feature a free, hands-on, minds-on expo for students, their families and the public. This event will be held at Gallery Furniture, located at 7227 West Grand Parkway South in Richmond on February 9th at 9 am to 2 pm.
More than 4,000 students are expected to be on hand, as well as local companies, non-profit organizations and Fort Bend ISD clubs – all sharing fun and highly interactive STEAM activities designed to help the community explore, invent and experiment. Among the more than 30 STEAM-inspired activities on tap are a forensic science lab where attendees can examine evidence and try to solve a “crime,” a food exploration lab, art exhibits, a 3-D printing station, Rube Goldberg contest, straw-tower building station and much more.
STEAM Fest 2019 is sponsored by Gallery Furniture and Lopez Mexican Restaurant. The event is free to attend, but attendees are asked to register at FBISD-CTE-STEAM-FEST.eventbrite.com. For further information, contact the Fort Bend ISD CTE department at 281-634-1098 or visit fortbendisd.com.
