Fort Bend County Women are Invited to Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital for Women’s Health & Wellness Event

Is this normal during pregnancy? What can I do to lower my risk of heart disease? How can I improve my energy levels? What are my options after a breast cancer diagnosis? How can I stop urinary incontinence? If you have ever thought about these questions, you are invited to Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital’s Women’s Health & Wellness Event. A panel of five female health experts will be on hand Thursday, October 10, at the hospital’s Brazos Pavilion Conference Center, ready to answer your questions.

The event encourages women to be proactive in their health decisions with insight from leading medical experts in women’s care. This year’s forum will cover a wide range of topics including breast care, general health and wellness, gynecology and reproductive health, heart health and pelvic health.

“We are excited to continue the tradition of helping women in our community gain valuable knowledge about their health,” said Michelle O’Shea, M.D., board-certified surgeon with Houston Methodist Breast Surgery Partners. “This event offers a unique opportunity for attendees to engage directly with medical professionals in a candid Q&A session. If one woman is thinking something, chances are others in the room are too.”

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital provides comprehensive, personalized care for every woman. From routine screenings to treatment of complex conditions, health care providers work together to support women at every stage of life. Joining O’Shea will be Aliyya Childs, M.D., obstetrician-gynecologist with Houston Methodist Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates; Gabriela M. Orgeron, M.D., cardiologist with Houston Methodist Cardiology Associates; Gulnur Kul Ormanoglu, M.D., internist with Houston Methodist Primary Care Group; and Adrienne Chaddick, DPT, pelvic floor therapist.

“This seminar is about empowering women with the information they need to make informed health decisions,” O’Shea said. “If we can help dispel myths and encourage women to prioritize their well-being, everybody wins. With an all-female panel, women who attend are going to get their health concerns addressed by experts who truly understand their needs.”

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To reserve your spot, visit join.houstonmethodist.org/womensevent-sl or call 281.274.7500.
