We have a Queen! The 2021 Fort Bend County Fair Queen is Meadow Votis. Meadow is 15 years old and is a sophomore at Elkins High School. She was among eight young ladies who competed for the crown, scholarships, and all the other awards that come with the title. 2020 Fair Queen, Rosalan Rule passed on the title to Meadow in the Queen Coronation Ceremony held on the opening day of the Fair. Meadow was named Queen, in front of family, the Queen Committee, board members and guest. Meadow will be serving as an ambassador during the fair’s run at several different auctions and events.
Meadow is founder of the Breakfast and Bible Study club at her school, a member of the student leadership team at her church and sings on the worship team. She enjoys working as a preschool gymnastics coach and is an assistant coach of her younger brother’s soccer team. Meadow plans to attend the University of Texas and pursue a Juris Doctor degree and one day become a District Attorney.
The competition is based on a personal interview, an essay, a networking event, community service, and participation. Needville High School student, Tristan Drury, was named first runner-up and Meadow also was also awarded Miss Congeniality.
Meadow will take part in several Fair-related activities throughout the year. For more information on the fair visit www.fortbendcountyfair.com.
