Fort Bend Christian Academy Athletes Sign Letters of Intent to Play at Collegiate Level


Five Fort Bend Christian Academy (FBCA) upper school seniors made the pivotal decision to play a sport at the collegiate level. FBCA upper school hosted a signing ceremony for the athletes preceding chapel.

“The signing of a college letter of intent is the culmination of dedication, perseverance and pure desire not only from the athlete but also the families,” said Jerry Reeves, upper school theology teacher and master of ceremonies. “We are incredibly proud, and they deserve special recognition.”

Katelyn Graham committed to play softball for Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas where she will be the first female Army ROTC cadet student-athlete. She has been playing softball since the age of 11. Her current select/travel team is the Aces Express 18U. Her softball career has been an accumulation of memories that were “devastating, victorious, extremely hard and full of blood, sweat and tears.” She went from hitting lessons in converse and playing in ankle socks to playing for the #4 team in the nation and winning a State Championship as a starter.

Zoee and Gretchen Granville.

Zoee Granville committed to play volleyball for Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She played volleyball at FBCA for four years and has been playing since the age of 12. Her current club/travel team is Club Catalyst. Her favorite memories are the relationships she’s formed with her teammates in the time spent on bus rides, at tournaments and at practices. Her accolades include 1st & 2nd Team All-District, four-time Scholar Athlete, Academic All-State and Senior Captain.

Camryn O’Leary committed to play volleyball for Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She has only been playing volleyball since the age of 14. Her current club/travel team is Club Catalyst. Her favorite memories are placing 5th at Nationals with her club team and being AAU All American. Her accolades include two-time 1st Team All-District, 1st & 2nd Team All-State and two-time Academic All-State.

Elizabeth MacKenzie committed to play volleyball for Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. She has been playing volleyball since the age of 12. Her current club/travel team is Club Catalyst. Her favorite memories are placing 5th at Nationals with her club team and making new connections during tournaments for school. Her accolades include 1st Team All-District.

James and JT Taylor with Lynn Madsen.

JT Taylor committed to play baseball for Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. He played Baseball at FBCA for two years and has been playing since the age of four. His current select/travel team is the South Texas Sliders. His favorite moment was defeating Second Baptist at Minute Maid Park to secure the top spot in District. His accolades include 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-State.
