FBISD to Hold Hiring Event for Special Education Teachers March 5

Fort Bend ISD will host a hiring event for certified special education teachers to support student instruction during the 2025-26 school year on Wednesday, March 5 at Dulles High School (550 Dulles Ave., Sugar Land, 77478) from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Registration is currently open at www.fortbendisd.com/hiringevent.

Candidates should arrive at the event prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

“Fort Bend ISD is gearing up for a busy hiring season,” FBISD Director of Talent Acquisition Dr. Jennifer Nichols said. “Our greatest need is in the area of special education, so we want to give certified special education teachers priority consideration as the hiring season gets underway.”

FBISD offers a starting teacher pay of $63,500 a year for special education teachers, which includes a minimum special education stipend of $1,500. The district also offers robust mentoring and support, a calendar that includes breaks for students and teachers each month, and opportunities for growth and advancement.

The March 5 event is specifically targeted for special education. However, FBISD will hold its annual district-wide hiring event on Saturday, April 5.
