Crawford High School senior Sincere Williams created the original artwork featured on a banner celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026 coming to the Houston area. The banner will hang from a flagpole in front of the Sugar Land Regional Airport.
Sugar Land Mayor Carol McCutcheon, airport leadership, school leaders, family and friends gathered for a banner reveal ceremony.
Sugar Land Regional Airport Assistant Director Ken Durbin said Sincere’s artwork stood out during the City of Sugar Land and Fort Bend ISD art contest. “He brought some art that was very retro; I fell in love with it,” he said. “We really wanted his work.”
During the ceremony, Mayor McCutcheon presented Sincere with a proclamation honoring his creativity, vision, and contribution to the community. “Sincere captured the vibrance and essence of the Sugar Land Regional Airport’s FIFA World Cup 2026 preparations,” McCutcheon said. “We are so proud of you and wish you the very best success in your future career in animation.”
Sincere acknowledged the people who encouraged him. “I love my family,” he said. “Thank you to Principal Grady and the people who supported me in my endeavors, pushed me and got me to make this artwork.
“I’m friends with so many people who are trying to be the best that they can be, and that inspires me,” Sincere said. “I’m so happy that with those people, I can get on the same level as them — that I can be the best that I can be and make a world where people look up to my legacy.”
