Fort Bend Women’s Center’s largest annual fundraiser, Boogie, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The event, which raises more than $200,000 every year to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault rebuild their lives, will take place on Saturday, March 24th at The Stafford Centre.
To mark its special anniversary, Boogie will be turning The Stafford Centre into Studio 25 and bringing disco back! In addition to great tunes from DJ Rock N Robin, guests can also enjoy a variety of food from local restaurants, silent and live auctions and Boogie’s famous Purse-A-Nality. Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land is returning as Boogie’s presenting sponsor and a range of other sponsorship packages are available, starting at $500.
Vita Goodell, Fort Bend Women’s Center CEO, said, “We are so excited to be celebrating this milestone anniversary at this year’s Boogie. The event’s continuing success is a real testament to the work of the many volunteers and sponsors who have supported Boogie since 1993. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of Boogie’s history, and we hope that Studio 25 will attract new friends this year.
“While Boogie is a great night of fun, food and friendship, it does serve a serious purpose. Without the amazing community support for our events, we could not continue to provide our lifesaving services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children. Over the last 25 years, Boogie has helped us bring healing and hope to hundreds of families, helping them build new lives, free of violence and fear. We look forward to celebrating that success with old and new friends on March 24th.”
Individual tickets are $75, and sponsorship packages for Boogie – Studio 25 are now available at www.fbwc.org. For further information about Boogie, please contact Patty Holt at 281-344-5750.
