Parks Youth Ranch (PYR) announces its 7th annual Cowboy Up set for Saturday, October 6th at 7 pm at George Ranch Historical Park presented by Fred & Mabel R. Parks Foundation. Cowboy Up will feature live music by the Nigel Edison Band, a BBQ dinner, dessert bar, jewelry grab by Kendra Scott and both live and silent auctions. Along with honorary chairs Diana and John Null, approximately 500 local leaders, business owners and community supporters will attend the shindig.
PYR opened its doors in 2011 to provide emergency shelter, counseling and life changing services to at-risk and homeless youth. Located in southern Fort Bend County, PYR is a 20-bed emergency shelter that provides services to abused and neglected youth ages seven to 17. Since opening, the shelter has provided over 40,000 nights of shelter and has served over 1,000 children.
