Vangie and Vince Ostera.
A staple in the Richmond, Texas business community for over 25 years, Vangie and Vince Ostera have created yet another unique venture that is providing customers with the ultimate environment to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, fresh food and an abundance of distinct retail options – all in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
The Ostera’s began their business journey 25 years ago with Ideal Carpet & Flooring and ten years later added Xtreme Guns & Amo to their corporate interests. Vince, a Richmond native, wanted to build a life that included entrepreneurship in the area that he called home.
With a passion for expansion and diversification, the Ostera’s expanded their holdings and purchased a home they renovated as an antique store initially.
“We’ve always loved planning events making certain that everyone had an excellent experience,” shared Vangie. While she loved the antique store concept, Vangie felt there was more they could offer the community.
With the objective of bringing people together in a comfortable, appealing environment where free time is well spent, the Ostera family expanded their legacy with their newest venture in 2025: Sparkle & Sip Boutique and Legend Lounge.
With the idea in mind and eight weeks to remodel, the Ostera’s got busy. Fortunately, the City of Richmond also got on board helping the family navigate the process of a tight timeline.
“This turned out to be a lot bigger project than we originally thought,” shared the Ostera’s. “But it flowed together organically with the support of the City of Richmond.”
Sparkle & Sip Boutique was first on the project list. “With the boutique, I wanted to keep the same feel of the antique store bringing both vintage and new items to showcase,” said Vangie. “I love finding pieces that are truly different, unique finds that stand out with a touch of class.”
The boutique offers both vintage fine jewelry, such as David Yurman and Tiffany, along with the Bora line, which is original handcrafted silver jewelry from an East coast artist who sells exclusively at the boutique, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Nutcracker Market. They also feature trendy, chic clothing from Alden Adair and Gretchen Scott, home décor and gift items.
Best of all, the boutique is centered around a showstopper: a bubble bar where they sell exclusively Heath Sparkling Wine from Fredricksburg, hence the name, Sparkle & Sip Boutique
With the boutique as the initial focus, an event space was always on Vangie’s mind. And with that seed planted, the Legend Lounge was born.
“Vince and I have thrown so many parties over the years, we wanted to share our experience, so we decided let’s build a lounge,” shared Vangie.
Legend Lounge is the ultimate in a luxury speakeasy with an old Hollywood vibe. Adjacent to Sparkle & Sip Boutique, the lounge takes guests back in time to an era of elegance. The walls are adorned with black and photo photos of vintage actors and performers from yesteryear with chic velvet booths reminiscent of Las Vegas’ golden age. A cozy fireplace compliments the room that also features two large screen televisions for sports and special events.
With Vince as the mixologist, Legend Lounge offers a variety of cocktails and mocktails.
“We make our own syrups,” said Vince, “and all of our juices are fresh squeezed. We’ve tried purchasing both syrups and juices, and the taste just isn’t the same. It’s worth the extra effort for the taste.”

The Legend Lounge now offers pizza featuring made from scratch dough and sauce.
Legend Lounge beverage offerings are named after movie stars, movies and iconic brands, such as the Cool Hand Luck Old Fashion, the West Side Rita, True Grit Ranch Water and Marilyn’s Strawberry Basil Lemon Drop – just to name a few. Of course, there’s the Rat Pack martinis: Sinatra’s Espresso Martini and Martin’s Martini.
New to the lounge is the kitchen and patio expansion now serving charcuterie and pizzas, and in meeting with Vince’s quality standards, the dough and sauce are made from scratch.
“Our goals include beginning with pizzas in our new pizza oven,” explained Vince. “Next our plan is to expand our kitchen, build an outdoor patio and bring in a chef to create some signature dishes so we can offer dinner with a show or live music.”

Singo at the Legend Lounge, just one of the many special events featured on the monthly calendar.
Legend Lounge currently offers live music every Friday and Saturday featuring local favorites such as Maverick Murphy on December 20th and Susan Hickman, a contestant on The Voice, on December 6. David DelaGarza, Grammy award winning singer, has also performed at the lounge, which is available for private events.
Legend Lounge features Singo weekly, a musical version of Bingo, and they are working with the Creative Learning Society to host another Murder Mystery Theatre, as the first theatre was a huge success.
Invested in the CommunityWith their new venture, the Ostera’s have made certain to give back to the community that has embraced them.
“We could not do what we do without the support of the community, and their support is such a compliment,” said Vangie. “We are honored people want to have celebrations here. We even had a couple get engaged here. It’s a wonderful feeling to be a part of people’s lives.”
Legend Lounge has been the venue for several events supporting community organizations since they opened in March. “We try to support as many organizations as we can,” shared Vangie.
