The tradition of the Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Contest is officially underway as 20 outstanding young women from across Fort Bend County have begun their journey toward the crown during the Fair’s landmark 90th anniversary celebration.
Representing high schools from across the county, this year’s class of candidates reflects our communities and school districts in a big way. The candidates recently participated in a mandatory orientation meeting, met with members of the Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Committee, staff, and several board members, and received their candidate sashes as they began their pursuit of the prestigious title and scholarship opportunities.

Reigning 2025 Fort Bend County Fair Queen Kaydence Miller attended the orientation to welcome the candidates and share her experiences serving as the Fair’s ambassador. During her reign, Miller has represented the Fort Bend County Fair at numerous community events, including a recent appearance on Houston Life during the Fair’s entertainment lineup reveal.
As part of their journey to the crown, the candidates will also participate in the inaugural Reign in Style fashion show fundraiser, hosted by the Fort Bend County Fair Queen Scholarship Committee. The August 30th event will celebrate fashion, community, and the Fair’s rich tradition while raising funds for the Queen Scholarship Program. Scholarship awards will be presented to outstanding participants, continuing the Fair’s long-standing pledge to support higher education for Fort Bend County students. The young woman crowned the 2026 Fort Bend County Fair Queen will serve as the official ambassador for the Fort Bend County Fair Association throughout the Fair’s 10-day run, Sept. 25-Oct and 4. Her responsibilities extend well beyond the crown as she represents the Fair at receptions, livestock shows, auctions, and official ceremonies. Throughout her year-long reign, she will also appear at community events, civic functions, holiday celebrations, and other activities promoting one of the Gulf Coast’s largest and longest-running fairs.
The 2026 Fort Bend County Fair Queen will be crowned Friday, Sept. 25, during Opening Day festivities of the Fair’s historic 90th anniversary celebration.
