The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is pleased to announce that Event Beneficiary Applications for the 2026 Sugar Plum Market are now available on the League’s website. Local nonprofit organizations serving Fort Bend County are encouraged to apply for funding consideration.
Each year proceeds from FBJSL’s Sugar Plum Market are returned to the community through grants awarded to nonprofit organizations making a meaningful impact across Fort Bend County. Over the past 25 years, FBJSL has proudly provided more than $6.4 million in grants to over 100 local nonprofits, supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen and serve our community.
Event Beneficiary Applications for the 2026 funding cycle include updated guidelines and requirements. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to carefully review all application materials before submitting their requests.

In addition to Event Beneficiary funding, FBJSL continues to support the local nonprofits throughout the year through its Community Assistance Fund (CAF). CAF grants, available in amounts up to $5,000, support critical needs, pilot programs, or emergency expenses for local nonprofit organizations. In May, FBJSL awarded four CAF grants to Fort Bend County nonprofits: iCurea Foundation received $1,000 for diapers and baby wipes; Rosenberg-Richmond Helping Hands received $3,500 for socks and underwear for families experiencing financial hardship; Family Roots for Life received $3,500 for life skills classes and apartment and dormitory gift baskets; and Clothed by Faith received $5,000 for new shoes.
“The Fort Bend Junior Service League is honored to continue supporting organizations that work tirelessly to meet the needs of our community,” said Misty Gasiorowski, 2025 2026 Co-Chair of the Beneficiary Review Committee. “We encourage eligible nonprofits to apply and share how these funds could help further their mission and impact.”
