Representatives of the nonprofit organizations receiving grants joined 2025 Sugar Plum Market Co-Chairs, representatives of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, and members of Fort Bend Junior Service League at the check presentation celebrating the Sugar Plum Market’s success.
Fort Bend County, Texas: The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL), with the support of title sponsor Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, successfully raised $317,000 at this year’s Sugar Plum Market, as announced during a check presentation on December 16, 2025. A total of 31 local nonprofits received grants from the funds. This accomplishment was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, patrons, and dedicated volunteers who managed the Market. FBJSL extends its gratitude to Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital for serving as the title sponsor, Momentum BMW for their valet sponsorship, Chiang Law Firm, PLLC & Christopher Meyer Law Firm, PLLC for sponsoring our Ticket Box Office, as well as Roadrunner Moving and Storage, Silt Solutions, Pierce Built Homes, Majestic Title, Origin Bank, The Audra O’Neal Team and HEB for their significant contributions.
The 31 local nonprofits that were awarded event beneficiary grants were: AccessHealth, Arc of Fort Bend County, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, Blessed Be Hope For Three, Inc., Boys & Girls Club of Greater Houston, Brazos Bend Guardianship, Catholic Charities, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, CollegeCommunity Career, East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Family Houston, Family to Family Adoptions, Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, Fort Bend Habitat for Humanity, Fort Bend History Association, Fort Bend Hope, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels, The George Ranch, God’s Garden, Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, Katy ARTreach, Literacy Council of Fort Bend, Mercy Goods, M.O.R.E. Possibilities, Parks Youth Ranch, Reining Strength Therapeutic Horsemanship, Rosenberg Railroad Museum Inc, Sire Inc, Texana Center, and the FBJSL Community Assistance Fund. The Community Assistance Fund allows the remaining Sugar Plum Market proceeds to continue helping our local nonprofits with smaller or emergency grant needs throughout the year.
The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and to improving the Fort Bend County community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable as well as providing an atmosphere of friendliness, goodwill and camaraderie for all members. Proceeds from various events and fundraisers have made it possible for FBJSL to donate more than $6.4 million to non-profit agencies in the Fort Bend community since its inception in 2001.
