YIP scholarship recipients and supporters at the 2014 Annual Investment in Youth Luncheon.
The Community Resources Division of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce will host a Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship Award Luncheon on Wednesday, April 22nd from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Safari Texas Ranch, located at 11627 FM1464 in Richmond.
The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, The George Foundation and Safari Texas Ranch invite you to join in their special recognition of students from Calvary Episcopal College Prep, Fort Bend Christian Academy, Fort Bend ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD, Needville ISD, Katy ISD and Stafford MSD participating in the 18th annual Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program. The luncheon is fully underwritten, allowing all ticket proceeds, donations and contributions to go directly to scholarship funds. YIP will be awarded at the luncheon, which will celebrate the volunteer accomplishments of the YIP students.
The Community Resources Division focuses on impacting the community-at-large through effective partnerships and collaborations offering community programming to inform and educate on the quality of life issues in Fort Bend County. The division enhances the student-driven Youth in Philanthropy program by developing a partnership with the non-profit sector, local school districts and community volunteers to communicate and encourage youth in their role in building a quality community through volunteerism.
Scholarships named after a donor or company with a table of 10 are available for $2,500 and $1,250. Corporate tables of 10 are available for $400. Individual registration is $35, and there is also the option to donate to the overall scholarship fund. Lunch and materials are included.
