Nicole Leonard
Texana’s Behavior Improvement Center is delighted to announce that Nicole Leonard and Anna McGhan are the latest staff members to pass their examinations to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
Nicole Leonard attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she received her BA in Psychology, and MA/Ed.S in School and Behavioral Psychology. She worked as an individual trainer at the Shorkey Center in Beaumont before coming to Texana Center as an intern to complete her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis. Leonard also completed a separate internship in preparation for her Licensed Professional Counselor examination.
Anna McGhan
Anna McGhan joined the staff at Texana Center in June 2009 after interviewing with Dorothea Lerman, Ph.D., BCBA at the University Houston-Clear Lake, School of Human Sciences and Humanities, who recommended that she apply to work at Texana Center in order to gain good experience. She received her MS from the University of Houston-Clear Lake while working at Texana. McGhan always knew that she wanted to work with children and actually had an uncle with an intellectual disability. So, with a background in behavior and biology she soon found that becoming a Behavior Analyst was the perfect fit for her.
Texana’s Kate Johnson-Patagoc commented, “It always makes us very proud when our staff pass their certification, as it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to achieve this success.”
