Sugar Land Town Square will host open auditions for its fourth annual Sugar Land Junior Superstar competition on Wednesday, March 26th in the Plaza from 5 to 7 pm. The 2014 Junior Superstar will win a prize pack and have the opportunity to perform at future Sugar Land Town Square events.

Judges will select 15 finalists to perform during the live Junior Superstar competition on Saturday, April 19th from 7 to 9 pm in the Plaza, where one finalist will be named 2014 Sugar Land Junior Superstar.

Participants should be prepared to sing for 60 to 90 seconds without musical or vocal accompaniment at the audition. Contestants must reside in Fort Bend County to be eligible for the competition and must be at least nine years of age at the time of audition and no older than 13 years of age on April 19th.

Due to the popularity of its original format for contestants ages 14 and up, Sugar Land Town Square started the Junior Superstar competition in 2011 to spotlight the community’s younger vocal talent. Gabriela Sanchez, 2013 Junior Superstar, won the prestigious title for her rendition of Corinne Bailey Rae’s Put Your Records On.
