March 3rd, 7:45 am

2nd Annual Hook ’N’ Ladder  Fun Run & Carnival

Bring the whole family out to this annual event hosted by Anne Sullivan Elementary School, located at 17828 Winding Waters Lane in Sugar Land. The carnival event includes inflatables, a “messy” zone, dunk booth, carnival games and so much more. For those lacing up their running shoes, this event includes a 1K family color run and both 5K competitive and non-competitve races. March 3rd, 9 am – 12 pm

2018 Earth Day Celebration

Come celebrate Earth Day with free earth-friendly activities for the whole family along Missouri City’s Edible Arbor Trail. Children can enjoy a treasure hunt and learn about recycling, composting, beneficial bugs, water conservation and native plants. Cultural Kite Festival

Fly your beautiful kite on a windy weather and enjoy exciting entertainment such as a kite and chalk art contests, kite-making workshop for kids, cultural performances, cultural food and beverages available for purchase. This event is free, and open to the public.  Register online to join the kite contest. Fort Bend Education Foundation’s 2018 Silver Jubilee Gala

The Fort Bend Education Foundation is celebrating 25 years of enriching and enhancing the quality of education for all Fort Bend ISD students at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square, located at 15958 City Walk. Bite Night Fridays at Riverstone

A feast of food trucks is heading to The Club at Riverstone, located at 18353 University Boulevard in Missouri City, for a culinary event that will be held the second Friday of each month throughout the spring. Creative Connection:  Gaming and Technology Club Event

Do you have an interest in technology, devices and games? Join the gaming club and learn about creating a game with your own hands or playing a new type of game with a twist at the Sienna Branch Library, located at 8411 Sienna Springs Boulevard in Missouri City. St. Paddy’s Day Half Marathon

Put on your running shoes for the Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Half Marathon, a 13.1 mile loop starting and ending at Sugar Land Town Square, located at 15958 City Walk. GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land’s 3rd Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon

Enjoy food and fashion while benefitting GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land at this annual event held at the Sugar Creek Country Club, located at 420 Sugar Creek Boulevard in Sugar Land. 5th Annual Keepin’ It Renal 5K

Run or walk for a cause at Sugar Land Memorial Park, located at 15300 University Boulevard. Registration opens at 7:15 am and race starts at 8:30 am. After the race, participants can cool off with refreshments at the pavillion where awards will be announced. Registration is $30 per person. Proceeds benefit the Chris Johnson Foundation, a Sugar Land non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of Renal Medullary Carcinoma. For more information,  visit chrisjohnsonfoundation.org.

EGGStravaganza Egg Hunt

This event includes egg hunting, carnival games, a petting zoo, pictures with the Easter bunny, food and beverage available for purchase and much more. Crazy Hare Dash

Get ready for an adventure style dash through Missouri City’s community park, located at 1700 Glenn Lakes Lane. The Crazy Hare Dash is untimed and all about fun. Work your way through the park stopping at six “Crazy Hare” themed stations. The dash will start next to the softball fields’ parking lot by the disc golf course. Sienna Plantation Farmers Market

Fresh produce, locally sourced spreads and condiments and other foodie favorites can be found at this farmers market held at the train depot’s parking lot near the amphitheater, located at 9600 Scanlan Trace in Sienna Plantation. 2nd Annual Strike Out DIPG

Connor Man Bowling Tournament

Be a superhero, and join the fight to cure childhood brain cancer! Connor Man Defeat DIPG® Foundation is dedicated to finding new, viable treatments and a cure for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), the deadliest childhood brain cancer, through funding of medical research and promoting awareness. Alexis and Peter Olympia, Connor’s parents, created the foundation to continue their son’s fight to defeat DIPG and are determined to help other children and families who are faced with this deadly brain cancer. For more information, visit connorman.org.

Youth Computer Class – Hour of Code

Has your child ever been curious about coding or wanted to learn the ins-and-outs of how to code? Join us for a look at computer coding using different online resources at the Sugar Land Branch, located at 550 Eldridge. This program is intended for children in 3rd through 8th grade.
