Fort Bend County Libraries Present Buffalo Soldiers
In recognition of Black History Month in February, Fort Bend County Libraries’ First Colony Branch Library will present a program on the Buffalo Soldiers and their role in American history. Dressed in a traditional Buffalo Soldiers’ uniform, a representative from the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum in Houston will present a brief film on the history of the Buffalo Soldiers. He will also read actual testimonies left by the soldiers themselves depicting their daily life. The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call 281-238-2800.
