Impact A Hero Hosted 11th Annual Kickoff Party at the Red Neck Country Club

Impact A Hero and KPRC’s Sports Director Randy McIlvoy hosted the 11th Annual Impact A Hero Weekend Kickoff Party on February 19th at the Red Neck Country Club. Scott H. Koza, Chief Geophysicist, Gulf of Mexico Exploration for Marathon Oil Corporation, donated $70,000 to support veteran heroes who’ve been severely injured in the War on Terror.

Special guests included Impact A Hero Co-Founder Jim Hoelker, Houston Texans’ Chris Myers and wife Jenny, as well as Impact A Hero Board Members Constance White and Army First Lieutenant Daniel Ebarb. Among the veterans recognized were Ebarb, Marine Corporal Paul Gardner, Marine Corporal Jack Goodroe, Marine Lance Corporal Alex Rodriguez, Army Sergeant Nate Rolens, Army Specialist Javier Negrete, Marine Corporal Steven Schultz, Marine Sergeant Jason Shaw, Army Sergeant Joe Sifuentes, Army Sergeant Sergio Trejo and Marine Corporal Spencer Walker.

Impact A Hero gives Texans an opportunity to join national celebrities at Impact A Hero Weekend May 16th through 18th. The weekend will start off with the 5K Walk Run and Wheel on Saturday, May 16th at NRG Park. The Hall of Fame Gala Dinner will be held on Sunday, May 17th at the NRG Stadium, and the events will conclude on Monday, May 18th with the Golf Challenge at Champions Golf Club with Honorary Chairman Jackie Burke.
