Happy, Happy New Year! I love the New Year and new beginnings. I feel like everyone gets a fresh start with the New Year as it brings such hope and anticipation. It is our chance to renew, rejuvenate and reinvent ourselves.

New beginnings is definitely the case with the new couples in our ever popular Real Weddings feature. On page 23, you can peruse the photos and details of these newlyweds and wish them congratulations when you see them around The Bend.

I am sure you have been enjoying our Cultural Columnist Zeenat Mitha. Zeenat takes a look this January at celebrating the nine days of Navratri. The celebration is a reminder to persevere in life’s challenges, which is a good lesson for us all.
