Hello Fort Bend Friends,

We are so excited about all the fun things to do around the county this spring – starting with baseball. My son is currently playing for First Colony Little League, and they are in full swing! And, in just a few days, the Sugar Land Skeeters will have their opening day game. Memorial Hermann is sponsoring a “Kids Get in Free” program for the game. Read all of the details in our cover story on page 14, and learn about Dr. Rehal Bhojani, the team doc.

There is so much to cover that we have listed several activities and events throughout the month of April that are fun for the entire family. Some of the many charity events include the Sugar Land Bash, the Oyster Creek Rotary Crawfish Boil, and the Runaway Scrape at George Ranch Historical Park.  And, we’ve devoted a special calendar listing on  all of the happenings for Autism Awareness Month including “Strike Out Autism” hosted by the Sugar Land Skeeters and benefitting Blessed Be Hope For Three.

As always, Fort Bend Focus has been out and about in the Bend. Check out our Seen on the Scene photos starting on page 30.

We have also compiled several fun summer activities in our Summer Fun Guide starting on page 41. Sign up your children early so they don’t miss a thing this summer.

Living in Fort Bend County is like living next to the Medical Center. We have the very finest right here in our own back yard. This is always a huge special section for us since there is literally every kind of doctor and specialist you may need in Fort Bend. Check out our Medical Focus full of interesting and informative medical information.

I hope everyone enjoyed Spring Break and that Easter was a blessing to you and your family.

Stay Focused,

Lisa Fredrickson
