CTE Enterprise Learning Labs Open to Public


Fort Bend ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Enterprise Learning Labs – Automotive, Culinary, Cosmetology and Early Education Childcare services – are now open for public patrons, giving students real-world experience and benefitting Fort Bend community.

Students will operate the Enterprise Learning Labs, under the supervision of Lab managers, and offered services will change throughout the school year as students gain additional knowledge. In keeping with the District’s COVID-19 response plan, services will be offered on a reservation basis only. Patrons, staff and students will be expected to adhere to mitigation protocols.

Automotive Services. The Shop at the Reese Center is open on Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm. Current services include oil change, tire rotation and balance and light general maintenance.

Culinary Services. The Grill at the Reese Center will open January 6th. Morning restaurant service is available Tuesday through Friday. Additional catering options exist for events held at the Reese Center.

Cosmetology Services. First-and second-year cosmetology students are working toward a total of 1,000 training hours to be eligible to sit for their Operators License. Appointments are available now, and the hours of operations are:

Tuesday and Thursday – 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

Wednesday and Friday – 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 4 pm.

Early Education Childcare Services. The Early Education Lab Center at the Reese Center is a tuition-based program offering children exposure to Pre-K curriculum by certified teachers. Hours of operation will be 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Children must have turned 4 years old by September 1st, 2020.
