Another Night Out Goes Virtual!

Parks Youth Ranch invites high school juniors and seniors to the 6th Annual Another Night Out! ANO is an awareness event about the hardships and struggles of homeless youth. Event participants will participate in a virtual homeless immersion event and demonstration on February 26, 2021 from 8 pm – 2 am.

Participants will not only be raising awareness via social media posts and demonstrations but also learning about teen homelessness and issues that influence our work. Approximately 2% of all students in Fort Bend County are experiencing some form of homelessness. Potentially, over 7,000 children are in some way affected by homelessness right here in Fort Bend County. Participants will engage in activities with United Against Human Trafficking, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, learn about Financial Literacy from Bank of Texas and participate in experiences, as they become homeless for just a bit. Students can earn up to six service hours for participation.

Parks Youth Ranch (PYR) started from a dream in the early 2000s and opened its doors in 2011 to provide emergency shelter, counseling and life changing services to at-risk and homeless youth ages 7-17. PYR provides services to youth who have been abused/neglected by their families and are need of a safe, supportive and stable home. In the 10 years since opening, PYR has provided a “Home for Today and Hope for Tomorrow” to over 1,500 children.

Another Night Out costs just $20 and is a chaperoned event, fully online event. Event underwriting and sponsorships are also available, starting at just $100.
