Plans are well under way – literally – for the 5th Annual American Cancer Society Couture for the Cause. The Couture for the Cause co-chairs and committee are breaking ground to construct what is going to be a fabulous, fun and chic fashion show event over a swimming pool, scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, at the home of KK and S. Scott West.
Couture for the Cause Co-Chairs Jill and Jim Gibson, Amy and Dan Johnson, Cari and Scott Middaugh and KK and S. Scott West invite supporters to join them for a party with a purpose, A Night in Versailles, Masquerade Style! Already joining the team are Tara and Rick Ray of Wealth Design Group as the Couture for the Cause Presenting Sponsor for the second year in a row. Other sponsors to date include the Durham Families, Toni and Mike Baches, Johnson Development, Massage Heights Voss at Sugar Land & Katy, The West Law Firm, Yard Card Greetings, The Millis Group, Inc., Tamara Osina-Felinski, DDS, EOR Energy Services, LLC, Champion Counseling, NewFirst Bank, Amy and Dan Johnson and Veronica and Edward Sessom.
Houston’s fashion and event producer Lenny Matuszewski will produce the runway show, which will feature couture fashions presented by models whose lives have been touched by cancer. Empire Faces will provide make-up services, and Milagro Salons will provide hair salon style.
Did you know that no single non-governmental, not-for-profit organization in the U.S. has invested more to find the causes and cures for cancer than the American Cancer Society? Events like Couture for the Cause help fund research and education programs for the American Cancer Society.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for Couture for the Cause starting at $500. Tickets to enjoy the show are $100 per person. This is a limited space at the event, which also features a Champagne and Diamonds raffle featuring a gorgeous diamond donated by J Loggins Jewelers. Wine connoisseurs can replenish their cellars with wines from the Wine Pull or honor/memorialize a loved one who has been affected by cancer. Small bites will be provided by local restaurants, and drinks will be served by Black Tie Company, including special Signature Cocktails.
