10th Annual Run to Attack Poverty Scheduled for June 19th

Attack Poverty, a local nonprofit organization committed to strengthening under-resourced communities through spiritual growth, education, revitalization, and basic needs, invites you to join them on Saturday, June 19th, for its 10th annual “Run to Attack Poverty.”

“This event is a great way for the local community and beyond to rally around our mission of breaking the cycle of generational poverty,” said Brandon Baca, CEO of Attack Poverty. “We look forward to a fun-filled, energizing 10th Annual Run to Attack Poverty.”

The race begins with a 10K at 7:50 am, a 5K at 8 am, and a Kids K at 9:30 am and will start at Friends of North Richmond 1305 Clay Street. Rebecca Hass, Mayor of Richmond, will provide a shotgun start to begin the festivities.

Registration for the race is still open, and prices are as follows:

  • 5K – $30
  • 10K – 40
  • Kids K-$20

Registration will be available on race day for the following:

  • 5K – $40
  • 10K – $50
  • Kids K – $20

(Participants in the Kids K must be 11 years of age or younger.)

If you can’t make it on race day, you can still participate as a virtual runner and run for Attack Poverty from anywhere in the world. Register before June 14 and receive your race t-shirt and other fun swag.
